Dining Out in Lynchburg VA

Our award winning bed and breakfast, The Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast, is within walking distance to all downtown restaurants, shops, museums and attractions.

There are a number of excellent restaurants in our area. Some will provide a dining experinece you will long remember. We have a list of dining options in the in-room book in each guest room.

The options range from local dives offering great home style food to our up-scale dining establishments featuring gourmet meals.

Whether you live in the Lynchburg area or you are just visiting, consider dining in Historic Downtown Lynchburg.  Here you will find locally owned eateries, many of which are in buildings that are 100 plus years old.

The price code after the restaurant indicates the average price of an entrée.  $ indicates most entrées are less than $10.00.  $$ indicates most entrées are in the $10-17.00 price range and $$$ indicates the entrées are in $17.00 or higher.  In some instances the entrées may be less but if everything is al-carte they are bumped to the next price category.

We highly recommend reservations during parent’s weekend, graduation weekend as well as other dates when major events are happening in Lynchburg or the surrounding areas.
