Weddings at The Carriage House Inn Bed & Breakfast  The Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast specializes in small intimate Virginia weddings, elopement ceremonies, and vow renewal. We want the celebration of your union to provide you with a lifetime of memories to cherish.A wedding is more than a union between two people; it's the festive joining of two families. For your Virginia bed and breakfast wedding, we, strive to provide an elegant background for you to celebrate your special moments while making them as joyful and stress free as possible for all the participants.To that extent, we will work with you or your wedding planner to provide you the ceremony you want. Any of our packages can be customized, so just let us know what you would like and we will try to make it happen. Below we have created some basic, price-fixed wedding packages for you to choose from. We recognize that one size doesn't fit all, so feel free to add additional services and build the wedding you want.
The Engagement Package $649 weekdays The Elopement Package $249 weekdays Marriage for Two $599 weekdays Our “Marriage for Two” package can be a formal or informal ceremony. If you are looking for something simple without guests, this option is ideal. Just pick the venue, let us know what you want, and we will make it happen. Marriage for a Few $699 weekdays Our “Marriage for a Few” package, like the “Marriage for Two” can be formal or informal. We limit the guest list to ten, excluding the bride and groom. This is the ideal package when you want to share the experience with a few friends and family members. The celebration can be held in the main house, front porch, grounds, or in the Meeting and Event Center in the Carriage House. Additional guests over ten (including children), add $10.00 per person. Marriage for a Few More $849 weekdays If your guest list is up to 30, then this package is for you. The celebration will be held on the grounds, front porch, or in the Meeting and Event Center in our Carriage House. This package includes:
Renewal of Vows We recognize that with marriage come responsibilities and sometimes children. These obligations may not allow you to spend much time away from home, so this package can be priced with or without a guest room for an overnight stay. If you will be able to stay overnight, we offer to those who were married at The Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast a 20% discount off our published room rate with a minimum stay of two nights. Prices for this package will vary depending on the extent of the re-commitment celebration you wish to have and can be priced for the two of you or up to 30 guests. Let us know what you are looking for and we will recreate that magical day for you. Anniversary Specials Come to The Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast for your anniversary to relax and rejuvenate. If you were married here, we offer a 20% discount off our published room rates with a minimum stay of two nights. You will also receive a bottle of chilled champagne to help you celebrate. Wedding resources: Our goal in providing our fixed-price wedding packages is to allow brides an affordable option at a great venue. We also recognize that a bride may want to customize or add additional services to the special day, so we are providing a list of resources that our brides may use to make their ceremonies exactly as they would like them to be. Now the Legal Stuff . . . . A marriage license can be obtained at any Virginia courthouse (circuit court). BOTH OF YOU MUST APPLY IN PERSON FOR THE LICENSE TOGETHER. A valid ID is needed, including a picture, current address, and date of birth. You must be at least 18 years old. The license does not have to come from the same city or county in which the wedding will take place. No blood test, waiting time, or residency requirements are required. (It is not necessary to be a Virginia resident or a US Citizen to get a marriage license in Virginia.) Once you have your license, you can marry immediately! You do have to "use" your marriage license (get married) within 60 days or the license will expire. You can obtain your license at the Clerk's Office in the circuit court. The hours for obtaining a marriage license are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except holidays) for $30 CASH. It is suggested, however, that you call the clerk's office where you plan to get your license to confirm their hours. Copies of marriage certificates for proof of marriage are available from the Clerk’s Office after the original license is returned by the marriage celebrant. Provide name of groom, maiden name of bride, date of marriage, and $3.00 cash or money order for each certified copy and a stamped, addressed envelope, if mailing. There have been instances where couples have waited until the last minute to get their license, only to find the Clerk’s Office closed. If you do not have your license, you cannot be married.
